Dances with Words is a blog about news and politics with a playful mix of dance. As a communications pro, writing is at the core of my profession, while dance is a hobby. Why not mix the two?
The art of writing mimics the art of dance. Rhythm and composition are integral to storytelling and to choreography. In dance, every movement counts; in writing, every word. The beat is crucial to both.
On screen, rhythm is just as important: every frame counts, every image tells a story–elements I learned as a former TV reporter and video producer.
In the end, it’s the stories that matter. A simple narrative arc, told with words on a page, feet on a stage, or pixels on a screen.
